INSTALLING OVER 1000 WINDOWS 95 PROGRAMS Insert the Over 1000 Windows 95 Programs CD into your CD-ROM drive. If after a few moments the Over 1000 Windows 95 Programs Autorun window does not appear, click the START button on the Windows 95 taskbar and then click RUN. Type in "d:\Setup.exe" (where 'd' is the designation of your CD-ROM drive). The Setup window should now appear. The Setup program will now lead you through the installation process. If you experience difficulties in running Over 1000 Windows 95 Programs after you have followed the installation process, uninstall the program by going to the Control Panel and using "Add/Remove Programs". Next, click the START button on the Windows 95 taskbar and then click RUN. Type in "d:\Hardinst.exe" (where 'd' is the designation of your CD-ROM drive). The setup window should now appear. The Setup program will now lead you through the installation process. 3. THE MAIN MENU Program Group The Program Group window lets you view the type of program in which you are interested. For example, you can choose from Desktop/Utilities, Multimedia, Games, and more. Click on the down arrow button to display the program groups available. Next, click on the program group you wish to view. The programs that match the program group you have chosen will be displayed in the Program window (see Program for more information). Program Subgroup The Program Subgroup window lets you further specify the type of programs that are displayed in the Program window, according to your needs. For example, if Multimedia is your program group, you can choose from Animation, Sounds, Video, or others. After you have chosen the program group in which you are interested, click on the subgroup you wish to view. The programs that match your program group and subgroup will now be displayed in the Program window (see Program for more information). If you do not choose a program subgroup, all programs in your program group will automatically be displayed in the Program window. Program The Program window displays all the programs that match your Program Group and Subgroup. NOTE. You must click on a specific program to run the program from a CD, copy files to your hard drive, or access information on the program. Run CD Allows you to run some programs directly from the CD. Copy/Run Allows you to copy,install, and uninstall programs. For more information, see COPY/RUN PROGRAMS. Information After you have selected a program, click on the Information button to access a brief description of the program. NOTE. Not all programs will have descriptions available. Exit Click on Exit to close Over 1000 Windows 95 Programs. 4. COPY/RUN PROGRAMS Over 1000 Windows 95 Programs allows the options of running programs directly from the CD, copying programs to your hard or floppy drive, or uninstalling previously installed programs. Copy To copy a program to your hard or floppy drive, choose the directory you wish to copy the program to by using the Explorer menu located below the Select Directory window. Click on the destination directory. The destination directory will now be displayed in the Select Directory window. Next, click on the Copy button. Run/Install Click on the Run/Install button to run the install programs to your computer. NOTE. This option is not available for all programs. Uninstall Click on the Uninstall button to uninstall previously installed programs. NOTE. This option is not available for all programs. Close Closes the Copy/Run Programs window. 5.
